Awareness

Because the power of our awareness is like a searchlight constantly beaming brighter and brighter as we open, it becomes our responsibility to learn how to use it masterfully. What we focus on grows.

If I focus on my mind, it grows. It can grow chattier, smarter, more loving, more coherent, more focused, more confused, or more subservient to the Self. It can also grow into a partner rather than a challenger. What I Focus on Grows.

If I focus on my body, I can learn to feel its signals and navigate the world from a place of authenticity. I can care for it, love it, cure dis-ease in it, or make it toxic. What I Focus on Grows.

If I focus on my spirit, I feel the connection to my Self grow. I can grow loving, truthful, compassionate, harmonious, aligned and connected. What I focus on Grows.

If I focus on all of these at the same time, as a whole rather than as individual parts, none more than the other, I am present and aware in this moment. What I focus on Grows.

Choosing

Choose and have conviction. Don't get caught in waffling back and forth. It creates noise.. What I focus on Grows.

Simply by focusing on our breathe, we shift from "being breathed" to a "breathing being."

Presence is the result of paying attention to our experience now. Exactly as it is, the feelings, sights, sounds, physical sensations.  We can participate in a conversation with our full awareness, actively listening and responding in the moment. Without our thoughts interpreting any situation ahead of time, we can experience the Truth of what Is.  Presence provides the opportunity to reorient to Truth anytime we choose to.  Being present is the full participation in this moment, with no focus on the past or future.
